You've come to the right place if you're looking for absolute peace, pure nature and a wonderful view and want to enjoy it!
Our "Campingplatz Bergwiese" is located in the green heart of Germany between the well-kept village of Thalwende and an extensive forest/hiking area. Due to our central location in the middle of Germany, we are very easy to reach from all directions. Rising meadows with spacious terraces, trees and bushes embedded in a beautiful landscape with a fantastic view and an almost eerie calm leave nothing to be desired for the camper.
The Eichsfeld, the Harz, the Hainich, the Werratal and the Göttinger Land invite you to many excursions to beautiful cities, beautiful castles, landscapes and attractive activities.
ATTENTION you can currently reach the campsite via the Uder-Thalwende route!

The Eichsfeld has very beautiful hiking areas with wonderful views and changing flora and fauna. Some can be reached directly from the campsite. Others in a short time by car. We especially recommend the "Röhrigsberg" directly above the campsite with various hiking routes. But also the "city forest" around Heilbad Heiligenstadt, the "Dieteröder cliffs", around the "Hanstein" and the "Gobert" with the highest elevation in Eichsfeld, to name just a few, are very worthwhile.
Everywhere there are opportunities to stop off and be spoiled with regional delicacies. The differences in altitude are pleasant to hike and offer charming views of the changing landscape.
